Community Memorial Hospital Foundation…
Supporting excellence in health care, right here at home
The Community Memorial Hospital Foundation is a volunteer
organization that works to promote and support the hospital and
nursing home through fundraising and the solicitation of donations.
The Foundation’s fundraising efforts assist in upgrading medical
equipment, enhancing medical services, and updating facility space
to maximize usage. New equipment that helps keep CMH vital is made
possible because of the dedication of Foundation board members and
its volunteers.
The 15th Annual
Community Memorial Hospital Foundation Gala raised $21,685.70.
The Gala was held October 14th at the Lost Isle in Carlton with 181
guests attending. Thanks to all the businesses, doctors and
individuals who donated for the silent, live and dessert auction.
Thanks to the committee members for all their hard work and
dedication.
Contributions
Cash Gifts
Cash gifts and contributions of securities are welcomed at any time.
The printable contribution form below can be completed and mailed in
with your gift.
All contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible.
Memorials
A lasting way to remember a loved one is to make a contribution to
the hospital in their name. Memorials are accepted at any time.
Charitable Trusts
Charitable trusts and annuities can be set up for the Foundation.
Naming the Foundation as a “beneficiary” of your trust can provide
income tax benefits for you and your family. There
may also be
estate tax benefits for you.
Bequests
Fund can be willed to the Foundation along with gifts of appreciated
real estate, securities, or life insurance. It is possible to reap
immediate income tax benefits for you and your family through a well
developed estate plan.

The Foundation recommends that all charitable trusts and bequests be
handled by your family attorney and/or your accountant.
Volunteering at CMH
The Auxiliary is a volunteer group providing a wide variety of
services that enhance the patient, resident, and visitor quality of
life at CMH. Auxiliary volunteers manage The Apple Cart gift shop,
deliver mail, sell newspapers, escort nursing home residents to
activities, and maintain the nursing home aviary. In addition, they
hold several fundraisers each year, with proceeds going toward a
scholarship and the purchase of hospital/nursing home equipment.
